10 PM THOUGHTS
When God shuts the door and builds your capacity.
This week after a very long and I mean very long delay something I have been waiting for for several months has come through.
Well, truth be told, waiting is not easy.
Truth be told, there is nothing as hard as being told " come next week" and you are under pressure.
However, every time I go through these kinds of delays I always reflect back on incidences in my life and in the lives of others... Incidences that saw Open doors lead to unmitigated disaster.
There are different types of delays, the delay caused by forces of darkness that want to embarrass and harm you.
Delays caused by your own laziness and lack of zeal and delay caused by God the Almighty Himself, closing doors in order to help you build capacity to handle what is on the other side.
It is important to discern the difference.
Today, as I reflect on the huge delay I went through since June last year and what I went through.... I thank God for the training.
It was one intense Course and I have a PhD in Character Development.
The worst thing that can happen to you is when open doors destroy your life.
When you get blessing that is beyond your capacity to handle, you will explode.
As I have narrated here before, more than 10 years ago, I got an international communication consultancy project that paid me 22m.
My head was not ready.
Yaani, the fuse inside my head was not ready to handle that kind of money... And fuse ika lipuka.... Pesa ili kimbia na kichwa yangu kimb Kisumo!!! My friend, there is nothing as bad as that!
Luckily, I did not leave God, Prayer and Church.. And that was the thread that held me back... Otherwise I would be watching you guys from heaven....
I used to run a motor garage, Beulah Motors, along Outer Ring Road and I have narrated before how two mechanics fell into a windfall.... They got two Toyota cars from the Kenindia Insurance yard in industrial area. These were the written off vehicles. And they worked on the vehicles proper.. In two weeks they got buyers for the vehicles and each walked home with about 1.2 m....
Problem is that non of them had handled more than 50k in the account before. The money to buy the written off vehicles came from a sponsor who told them that all he needed was 50 % extra.. And they paid him.
Unfortunately, the money was too much and both of them died within one year....
Every time I remember them, I always look at delay with a different perspective...
I always take lessons and reflect on my internal weaknesses... Weaknesses that could destroy me in prosperity....
Most people are only humble because they are broke... And hawana alternatives.... Pesa iki ingia... True colors zina tokelezea....
So, never imagine that you know someone, before you see them in the days of prosperity...
Some of you, God shuts doors, so that you remain in marriage. If you get money, you will leave your husband the next day... Get into the hands of some wash wash guys and die after 6 months...
Some of you men, doors are shut kabisa, because when you get money you will leave your wife the following day and go eat raha at the Coast...
Some of you, Doors of getting cars are shut off because if you will drive yourself into your death...
Before you ask for that blessing, kindly check yourself and your heart.. Kindly go into deep reflection about your weaknesses... Use the delay as a session for self reflection and self examination.
